All of the camps have waiting lists. Call the Recreation office to be placed on the waiting list. Only pay if you participate.

City Recreation Tennis Tournament

Monday, July 17th – Saturday, July 22nd

All matches will be played at the Ottawa High School tennis courts (211 E. Main St.).


Tournament registration forms are due by 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 13th.

REVISED Tennis Lessons Schedule

Due to work at the OHS courts, below is the revised tennis lesson schedule.  Tentative date to resume lessons and traditional lesson times at OHS courts is Wednesday, June 28.  Check with the Tennis instructors for more details.

3rd & 4th Grade 9:00am - 10:00am M–F

Special Events!

  • Supervisors are at Kiwanis, Lincoln, Turnberry, and Lincoln Douglas from 9 to noon.  Supervisors are at Vittone, McKinley, East Side, and Rigden in the afternoons 1-4.
  • Morning Movie: Cars 3  June 28.  Roxy Theater.  Doors open 9:15, movies starts 10am.  Cost:  $2.00 (Not including refreshments).    All parks open in the afternoon.
  • Free Breakfast and Lunch all summer at First Congregational  Church of Ottawa.
  •  Call Tim Trumbo, Adult Sports Director (815) 252-8698 with questions regarding adult softball, adult kickball, or adult basketball.
  • To reserve a shelter, contact City Hall at (815) 433-0161.
  • Ottawa Recreation no longer sponsor's Jim Sutherland Tball.  The various leagues host their own Tball programs as does Grand Ridge.  Youth League registrations usually occur the first part of February.  Check the Youth Leagues Tab on the left of the page to access specific youth league information.

The Playgrounds & Recreation Board meets at 7:00pm in the basement of Ottawa City Hall on the second Thursday of every month.
